Instead of protecting her daughter a mother in Ohio victimized her child. 37 year old mom Jeanie Mae Carpenter has received a lifetime sentence in prison after she admitted to helping her boyfriend rape her 12 year old daughter. Prior to the event, the 32 year old partner was already a registered offender.
According to reports, she held her daughter down while her boyfriend, James John Kirksey, raped the minor on multiple occasions. It is unknown how long the abuse has been going on, but the incident was brought up after the victim told a relative that her mom’s boyfriend was abusing her for the last two weeks.
After pleading guilty to four separate charges: one count of complicity to commit rape, two counts of permitting to child abuse, one count of endangering children and one count of obstructing official business. Kirksey also received two life sentences. It is unclear how the abuse began. Carpenter is eligible for parole in 20 years but like her boyfriend, is now be labelled a registered sex offender.

If a 12 year old girl cannot trust her mother to love and protect her, who in the world can she ever trust?,’ said Judge Frank Fregiato. ‘She certainly wouldn’t be expecting her mother to be assisting in the rape.’ In addition, the judge called this case a ‘crime against nature.
After serving 20 years in prison, if the mother is granted parole she will be registered as a Tier 3 sex offender, meaning she will have to re-register as an offended every 90 days for the rest of her life.
